3 Years of Sister time!

Some of you know that I participate in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. It's honestly one of the greatest things I've ever done. My "little" sister is Katie! We just celebrated our 3 year anniversary of being sisters. She's such a smart and funny girl to be with. We always have a great time when we hang out. We've been friends since she was in the 7th grade. I'm so proud of the young woman that she is becoming, how focused she is on school and on God. She's a hard worker and knows how to be silly and have a good time.

So- Happy 3 Year Anniversary Katie! Thank you for all the great memories that we've had. Here's to being in each others live for years to come!

An Eventful Weekend

A weekend that was "suppose" to be just another UNeventful weekend turned into a rather eventful & busy weekend. But hey- I'm not complaining!

-Friday was a very relaxing night. Bradley & I went to dinner- at Culver's because we had a coupon! And no ice cream in the house... which meant we needed to go somewhere and get some. We ended up sitting at Culver's for over an hour just talking and laughing. Even after 9 years of being together, it's great to just go out, relax, and enjoy the time spent together. After that we had a nice, quiet evening at home with Dixie. 

-Saturday... ohh Saturday.. after spending 3 hours at the car dealership getting Bradley's car fixed, we were finally able to head out & spend the day with my bestie Brittany & her boyfriend Andrew. Brittany's birthday was Friday so we drove the 1.5 hour drive to visit her! We had a nice afternoon of sitting outside, drinking, grilling, and enjoying the beautiful  weather outside! On our way home Bradley & I rented the movie The Help. [if you haven't seen it- you MUST rent it! It's great!]

-Sunday was spent boating with Brad's fraternity brothers Ellis & Jim, and Jim's girlfriend Carlie. It was a gorgeous day on the lake! The water was wonderful [even though I didn't go in- I was in the mood for tanning]. After boating we did some more grilling and enjoyed the time spent with friends!

Bradley & I always  have the "nice" problem of planning & attending lots of events during the summer. It always feels like we have something going on every weekend. But that's what summer is for right?! Being outside, enjoying the weather, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying life!

Practically Perfect?

Hello! Welcome to my new blog! I loved blogging while I studied abroad in England, decided that I've missed it over the years since, and have decided to create a new one!

I decided to start blogging so that I can capture the moments in my life a little easier- blogging is really just like writing in a diary for adults right? I've been married for a year now and whew! that year has flooown by! I figured that by blogging it will help me to slow down a little and treasure the moments of being a newlywed (I can still be considered a  newlywed right?) and living my "practically perfect" life.

Some basic information about me- I live in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with my husband Bradley & our 2 year old beagle puppy Dixie Mae. I am a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. I graduated from college with a BA in Elementary Education and I'm currently teaching 2 1/2 - 3 year olds at a daycare center in Oshkosh. My parents and my 2 sisters live only a 20 minute drive away. As does the rest of my immediate family and my in-laws.

On a side note- the reason for the "my life practically perfect" name of the blog

1. my life IS practically perfect. I wouldn't change anything about my life.

2. I'm obsessed with Disney movies. (hence the Mary Poppins reference)

Stick around- my life is practically perfect and most of the time- I have something interesting worth telling.

I'm off to try to figure this whole blog thing out. A lot has changed since I started my first blog!
