Jedidiah ----> Happy 1st Birthday!

Oh Jedidiah, It's hard to believe that you're 1 already. You bring such joy and laughter into our family. Amelia loves her little buddy! You're always so happy and smiling. You're a little stinker and there's always a mischievous look in your eyes.

Here's your stats on your first birthday...

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 25 pounds

Clothes: You wear 18 month old clothes now.

Diapers: size 3 still

Eating: You love table food! Your favorites are still fruits and veggies!  You nurse every 4-5 hours, some days you only make it 3 hours but it just depends on the day. You have 2 bottles during the day when you are with Oma.

Sleeping: You take 2 naps during the day and then at night you go to bed
around 8pm and sleep till 6am.

Happening this month:

+you had your first sleepover at Oma & Opa's house. Mommy & Daddy went to North Carolina for a long weekend so you & Amelia had sleepovers. You did great!

+you are alllllll over the place!

+you love going swimming and playing in the water.

+We had your first birthday party a little early! You had a great day celebrating with family and friends. You LOVED your birthday cake. You had a "whale" themed birthday.

+You took your first family road trip! We went with Grandpa & Nana and Oma & Opa to Cape Cod for a week. We went to Niagara falls also on the way back home. We had a great time- playing at the beach, relaxing, going for walks, baseball games, and whale watching!

Jedidiah ---> 11 months

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 21 pounds

Clothes: You moved up to 18 month old clothes. You still fit in your 12 month old clothes, they are just a little bit too tight. 

Diapers: size 3 still

Eating: You love table food! Your favorites are still fruits and veggies!  You nurse every 4-5 hours, some days you only make it 3 hours but it just depends on the day. You have 2 bottles during the day when you are with Oma.

Sleeping: You take 2 naps during the day and then at night you go to bed
around 8pm and sleep till 6am.

Happening this month:

+you had a wedding to go to- Daddy's cousin Jason got married to Cindy. You and Amelia loved listening to the music. You were such a happy boy the whole night even though you got to stay up way past your bedtime!

+We took a day trip to the Milwaukee Zoo. You love getting to see the animals.

+We celebrated Mother's Day! It was my first mother's day to 2 children and I loved getting to spend time with you. We went to Bay Beach and rode some rides! You don't love carousels but you loved driving the cars and ringing the bells.

+We went to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle day at the Timber Rattler's stadium. You were such a happy boy during your first baseball game!

+you can WALK! Yay Jedidiah!

*You are definitely turning into such a little ham. You are always smiling and laughing. You love playing with balls and trucks. You LOVE playing with the dog's water and food dishes. And your favorite game is putting things into the garbage can that you shouldn't.

Jedidiah---> 10 months

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 21 pounds

Clothes: You wear 12 month old clothes for everything now. Your 12 month old pants are starting to get a little too short though. 

Diapers: size 3 still

Eating: You love table food! Your favorites are still fruits and waffles. You nurse every 4-5 hours, some days you only make it 3 hours but it just depends on the day. You have 2 bottles during the day when you are with Oma.

Sleeping: You take 2 naps during the day and then at night you go to bed
around 8pm and sleep till 6am.

Happening this month:

+you got 2 more teeth on the top! that's #5&#6 now. You have 4 on top and 2 on bottom.

+we went to Grandma's house to celebrate her birthday.

+you had your first Easter! We went to Grandma & Joe's for a little bit before going to Oma & Opa's house. Grandpa and Nana joined us at lunch. Papa & Gigi, Aunt Gail & Nick, Uncle Rob & Aunt Trish were also there for lunch.

 +We decorated Easter eggs in whip cream- you loved eating the whip cream.

+We went to Minnesota to the Mall of America and the Minnesota zoo.
You did a much better job sleeping in the pack-n-play this time.

+you are walking all around! You've taken a couple steps between people but haven't taken steps on your own yet. You love standing and walking around the furniture.

+we had a huge snowstorm the day you turned 10 months! We got over 18" of snow! Who would have thought we'd get that much snow in April... uck.

Jedidiah- you are still such a happy baby. You are always smiling. You are a little stinker though- you love getting into the dog dish, playing with the water or eating dog food. You love getting into everything that you're not supposed to. You love mommy, daddy, and Amelia. You love snuggling with mommy at bed time.

Jedidiah---> 9 months

I can't believe it's 9 months already... where has the time gone?!

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 21 pounds

Clothes: You wear 12 month old clothes for everything now

Diapers: size 3 still

Eating: You love table food! You get so mad when someone else is eating food and not giving any to you. You love to eat fruits and waffles. 

You nurse every 4-5 hours, some days you only make it 3 hours but it just depends on the day. 

Sleeping: You are an amazing sleeper! You only like to take naps when you are cuddling with someone. You take a morning nap and then you take a longer afternoon nap. We finally moved you into your crib and you're doing fine.

Happening this month:

this month was a pretty quiet month.. 

+we had dinner with Grandpa, Nana and Uncle Matt, Aunt Nicole & Quinnley to celebrate everyone's birthdays

+we took a trip to the Milwaukee zoo. You were so content in the baby carrier and you loved getting to see the animals and fresh air.

Jedidiah ---> 8 months

Jed- you've been here for 8 months now. We love you more and more each day. 

Here's your "stats":

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 21 pounds 

Clothes: you are starting to be too long for 9 month old clothes so you mainly 12 month old clothes. 

Diapers: size 3

Eating: You drink a bottle every 3 hours during the day for Oma. I feed you before I leave for work and then when I get home. You nurse every 2-3 hours on the weekends.

You love food! You had your first cake- you had some birthday cake at mommy & daddy's birthday party. There's really not a food you don't love. You'll eat anything we give you. You love bananas and waffles!

Sleeping: You still sleep in your bassinet but you'll be moving to your crib this month since you can sit up in your bassinet now. You go to bed between 7:30/8:00 each night and you sleep till 7am. 

Happenings this month:

+you decided that now was a good time to start crawling for real. Now you go anywhere and everywhere. 

+you love standing and pulling yourself up.

+you got a new tooth! You got a tooth on the top now. This one made you miserable and you & mommy slept on the couch for 2 days because you only wanted to be held.

+It's your first Valentine's day! You turned 8 months on Valentine's Day. 

+you love going swimming. We've taken you to the YMCA a couple times and you enjoy floating around and splashing.

Jedidiah- you are the most content baby ever. The only time you're ever mad is when you're hungry or tired. 

You love mommy, daddy and Amelia! And you love your doggies Dixie and Clementine. 

We love watching you grow each month and are excited to see where life takes you. 

Jedidiah ---> 7 months

Jedidiah is 7 months already! It's hard to believe that time is going by this fast.

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 19 pounds 

Clothes: you are starting to be too long for 9 month onesies and pants but you wear both 9 month old clothes and 12 month old clothes 

Diapers: size 3

Eating: You drink a bottle every 3 hours during the day for Oma. I feed you before I leave for work and then when I get home. You nurse every 2-3 hours on the weekends.

You've been eating lots of different foods. You rarely get "baby" puree food anymore and mainly eat "real" food. You love getting to eat with us and get very mad if someone is eating something and not giving any to you.

Sleeping: You still sleep in your bassinet. You go to bed between 7:30/8:00 each night and you sleep till 7am. 

Happenings this month:

+you had your first Christmas! You were very spoiled and you loved getting to eat turkey and mashed potatoes! You looked so adorable in your Christmas clothes.

+you got your first 2 teeth for Christmas! You got your 2 front bottom teeth right before Christmas.

+You aren't crawling yet but you move everywhere! You scoot on your butt, or push yourself backwards. You can "spin" on the floor and you turn yourself different directions. As long as you don't get yourself stuck somewhere you move all over the place! 



Jedidiah- you are such a happy little boy. You are always so excited and you love "talking" to Amelia.

Jedidiah -----> 6 months

6 months, man-oh-man how times flies...

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 18 pounds 

Clothes: you wear 6-9months/9 month old clothes comfortably but you also wear 12 month old clothes a lot of the time.

Diapers: size 3

Eating: You drink a bottle every 2-3 hours during the day for Oma. I feed you before I leave for work and then when I get home. You nurse every 2-3 hours on the weekends.

 You love eating foods! You get so mad when the food is all gone. 

Sleeping: You still sleep in your bassinet. You go to bed around 9-10pm normally and then wake up between 6am-7am.

Happenings this month:

+you had your first Thanksgiving! You loved getting extra snuggles from everyone. 

+we went to the Christmas tree farm and got Christmas trees. You were snuggled up but enjoyed the fresh air.

+You are sooo happy all the time. You love sitting up, playing with your toys and giggling at your daddy & Amelia.

+you LOVE your doggies. 

Jedidiah- we love spending our time with you! You definitely bring joy and happiness to our life every day. 

Jedidiah ---> 4 Months

Jedidiah- I can't believe you're already 4 months old. You bring so much joy to our life; mommy & daddy love you so much! And Amelia just loves her "little" buddy!

Height: I'm guessing 24 inches but you have your 4 month old check up this week

Weight: I'm guessing 17 pounds

Clothes: You wear 3-6/6 month old clothes, but probably not for much longer. 

Your pajamas and onesies are starting to get too short.

Diapers: Size 2

Eating: You drink your bottle 2-3 hours during the day. You still drink 4oz bottles.

Your nurse every 2-3 when you're with momma.

Sleeping: You sleep in your bassinet in our room. You go to bed between 10-11pm and wake up at 7am. You do amazing sleeping! You take cat naps during the day but really just whenever you sleep is nap time.

Happening this month:

+We went to Little Farmer. Mommy wore you and you slept the whole time! Aunt Courtney, Aunt Chelsey & Uncle Todd, Oma & Opa were there too! We loved getting caramel apples.

+We had family movie night! We snuggled in our pajamas and watched the "Smurfs"

+We visited Grandpa & Nana's house!

+You went to your first wedding! Your daddy's cousin Brian got married. We took a trip to Madison, stayed at a hotel (your first time!), went swimming (your first time!) and took a trip to the Disney Store (your first time!). 

+We went to Cuff's pumpkin patch. We went with Grandpa & Nana, Uncle Matt & Aunt Nicole and Quinnley. We got pumpkins, took a hayride, and enjoyed the time outside. 

Jed- we're so excited to continue to watch you grow! You're so smiley and happy all the time. 

Jedidiah--- 3 Months

oh goodness- 3 months already! Jedidiah, you're looking more & more like a "baby" now and not a "newborn." You're always happy and smiling- such a joy to our family.

Height: 23 1/2 inches?

Weight: 15 pounds

Clothes: You wear 3-6 month/6 month old clothes. 

The pants are a little long but the onesies/pjs are perfect. 

Diapers: still size 2

Eating: You drink a bottle every 2-3 hours during the day for Oma. I feed you before I leave for work and then when I get home. You nurse every 2-3 hours. 

Sleeping: You still sleep in your bassiet. You go to bed between 10-11pm normally and then wake up between 6am-7am.

Happenings this month:

+You were dedicated at church. We had a big party for you after with our family. Such a blessed day to celebrate you & your relationship with God.

+you took your first trip to Chicago to the Navy Base.

+you LOVE attention. Amelia is always talking to you. It's so fun to see how much you love her.

+ we went to Eagle River with Grandpa & Nana. You loved the extra attention and enjoyed laying outside!

+we went to the Bookworm Gardens. Such a pretty place!

+you are ALWAYS smiling! The only time you're cranky is when you're hungry or tired, otherwise you're smiling.

+you love your family- you get so excited when mommy & daddy come home. and you're always watching Amelia to see what she's doing.

+you are so nosy! you love sitting up and looking around to see what's going on.

Jedidiah: 2 Months Old

Height: 23 1/4 inches (60% tile)

Weight: 13.5 pounds (70%)

Clothes: You're wearing 0-3/3 month old clothes, but you won't be in them much longer. 

Diaper: you wear size 1 or size 2, we buy the target brand

Eating: during the day you drink 4 oz bottles, you drink every 2-3 hours; you normally eat around 11pm and then you're good till morning time

Sleeping: You sleep in our room in your bassinet. You're getting used to being swaddled but you can break out and normally aren't swaddled coming morning time. I feed you around 11pm and then you sleep till 4am-6am. 

Happenings this month:

+you love being outside

+you love being in your swing! 

+you found yourself in the mirror! you love looking at yourself, smiling and giggling

+you took your first trip to the Milwaukee Zoo! you loved getting to be outside and "seeing" the animals

+we took more trips to the children's museum

+we went to the pool! you loved lounging

+we went to EAA! the Blue Angels were flying. you were such a good baby in your car seat; the airplanes & fireworks didn't bother you at all.

+we had a playdate with Aunt Brittany & Roman at the wildlife preserve!

+we went to the cabin with Grandpa & Nana. You slept in the your pack'n'play for the first time. You did amazing! You loved having so many people to "Chat" with

Jedidah- we are smitten with you. Amelia loves having you and is always so worried about you. You are an incredibly "perfect" baby. You eat & sleep great and are always so happy & smiley.

Welcome Jedidiah David!

I missed the last couple "bump" updates but that's ok because our little guy has officially joined the family!

On June 12, I had my doctor appointment; Brad & Amelia were able to join & listen to the heartbeat. I was only dilated 1 cm but my doctor wanted to schedule an induction date because of my history with Amelia & her getting stuck. He had already scheduled us for Wednesday.

Tuesday night we had dinner at my parents house so we could drop off the dogs and Amelia. Brad & I went home & tried to get some sleep, but we were to anxious/excited to get a good night's sleep.

Wednesday, June 14 we had to be at the hospital bright & early! We got there around 5am and checked in/registered. The nurses hooked me up to the monitors and my doctor came in around 6am. He inserted the jelly, mentioned that I was at 4cm, and that he'd be back to check me later. Around 7:30 my doctor broke my water. I enjoyed some time in the jaccuzzi tub and ate lots of popsicles. I wasn't dilating very fast so the doctor started pitocin around 9am. At 10:00 am I was definitely starting to feel contractions; from 10:00-1:00 I was feeling contractions and was dilating about a cm an hour.

 My doctor came in around 1:15 and said it was time to push! After 5 pushes Jedidiah was born! The doctor and nurses told me to reach down, I had no idea why and they finally told me to reach down because he was here! The doctors handed me Jedidiah and he snuggled right up. Brad was able to cut the cord and we enjoyed looking at our handsome son. The nurses cleaned him up and measured him- he weighed 9lbs 11 oz and was 21 inches long. He has some hair but it's very light, we're thinking he's going to be blonde like Bradley was.

We spent time doing skin-to-skin and enjoying Jed for awhile. My dad brought Amelia up and we enjoyed our time together as a family of 4. Jedidiah had lots of visitors after our family time.

Random things about Jedidiah's birthday-
+there were 11 tornadoes in Wisconsin on the day he was born. We weren't allowed to change our room because we were under a tornado warning.
+he was born on flag day!

Amelia loves her little brother and was so excited to finally see him. She's smitten with him! Brad & I are blessed to have our little boy and we're loving being a family of 4.
